Qualifications

The Gainsight Associate Admin Certificate is for new Admins who are just starting their Gainsight Administration journey. It's also open to non-customers who are serious about learning Gainsight Administration and are ready to take the first step. The exam is designed to assess whether you have completed the introductory training and understood the basic concepts behind Gainsight CS application functionality.

Candidates should successfully complete the self-paced Gainsight Admin courses for NXT or possess the equivalent experience and knowledge prior to taking the exam. If you fail the exam once, you can sign up for a retake after 24 hours. If you fail on the second attempt, you can sign up for a final retake after one week. We recommend you use this time to review the course content.

Preparation

We strongly recommend completing the following courses before taking the exam. We also recommend hands-on practice with Gainsight. If you don't already have access to a sandbox or production instance of Gainsight, and you're serious about learning Gainsight administration, you may request access to a training environment here.

Exam Format

Content: 36 multiple-choice/multiple-select questions
Time allotted to complete the exam: 45 minutes
Prerequisites: Web-based training courses listed above
Passing score: 80%
Registration fee: USD $70, plus applicable taxes as required per local law
Retake fee: Up to two free retakes. After failing once, you can retake the exam after 24 hours. If you fail again, you can retake the exam after one week. Please use these waiting periods to review course materials.
Delivery method:

Unproctored exam delivered in an online environment.
Advance scheduling is not required; you can take the exam at any time.
The exam is currently available in English only.

Certificate Validity Period: this certificate is valid for 2 years. To renew your certificate, you must meet our continuing education requirement. More information about the steps to renew will be published before May 2023.

Gainsight Certified Administrator: Level 2

We currently offer level 2 certification for two areas: Horizon Reports & Dashboards, and Journey Orchestrator and Surveys. Both are practical exams that require you to login to a Gainsight instance and complete a variety of configurations. See below for more information about how to prepare for each topic.

You will also be asked to add a dashboard from Sightline Vault, and manage the user permissions for a Dashboard.
Time allotted to complete the exam: 8 hours

Passing score: 85%

Complete our Admin - Journey Orchestrator & Admin - Surveys Web-Based Training on Gainsight University
Hands-on practice with program and survey configuration and email template set up. (see exercises in courses above and request a training environment from training@gainsight.com if you don’t have Gainsight access)
Take our instructor-led hands-on Admin training on Journey Orchestrator (strongly recommended)
We recommend at least 1 - 2 months of Gainsight experience prior to taking the exam.

Proctored exam delivered in an online proctored environment.
Onsite at a testing center based on Kryterion availability. (Testing appointments are generally available every day except for major holidays, and depending on proctor availability.)
You may cancel or reschedule an exam through our Webassessor portal with no additional fee, up to 72 hours prior to your scheduled exam time.
No Shows, Cancellations and Reschedules within 72 hours of your scheduled exam time will incur an additional fee or the forfeiture of your exam fee all together.
Test fees, vouchers or coupons used to pay for the exam will not be refunded for sessions canceled without giving proper notice.

Digital credentials are a verified credential and graphic representation of the knowledge and skills you’ve obtained and confirmed through our assessment(s). After you complete one of our certificates, you will receive an email from Credly with an offer to accept your digital credential. Your digital credential is portable and includes the details of your accomplishment. When you choose to make it visible to others, they can read about what it took for you to earn your certificate. You can easily share your badge on social and professional media with one click. You can also send a link to it by email, add it in an email signature, blog or website.
